Leslie Contreras graduated from the Universidad de Sonora Mexico with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications. She has been a journalist in Spanish-language media for 22 years. She has developed stories that have given her great satisfaction, because they’ve informed the Hispanic community on issues of immigration, education, politics, and social programs, among others.

She has also volunteered in the “Plaza Comunitaria” program under the Mexican government that helps Spanish-speaking people in the United States learn to read and write in Spanish or complete their academic studies, for elementary to high school.

Her work skills includes: headlines, press release and article writing, SEO best practices, and translations.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling, walking her dog Mirrus, spending time with friends and family, dancing, and enjoying a good coffee.
